Hello & Welcome- I'm so glad you're here!
As long as I can remember, I have experienced life most fully through my body. As a young child, I spent most days running barefoot among the luscious grass, in the back country of Ohio. I stumbled upon yoga in my early 20s and was naturally drawn to these unique ways of moving my body. The benefit of mindfully moving my body & practicing the breath-work I learned with yoga had a profound effect on me. I immediately started to share both movement & breath-work with the adolescent girls I was working with at the time. When they also experience positive results - shorter anxiety attacks, self-soothing through yoga poses, etc. - I realized I had found something I wanted to pursue. For the past 2 decades I have practiced movement and meditation therapies with young women-identified in their teens to grandmothers in their 80's!
I have also always enjoyed hearing people's stories – their joys, sorrows as well as the mundane parts of life. I find myself naturally coming alongside the ladies in my life, guiding and encouraging them with practical tips and strategies for uncovering their beauty and strength within. In my late 30s, I was introduced to the practice of Spiritual Direction and had the opportunity to become certified. My listening and asking questions skills were greatly enhanced through this program. After becoming certified, I began combining movement with spiritual companionship for a beautiful blend that focuses on the well-being of body, mind and spirit.
My intention when working with women, whether one-on-one or in groups, is twofold: First, to help them see the beauty & strength within them RIGHT NOW, and second, to come alongside on their journey towards their optimal health by offering self-care strategies. I would love to join you - affirming you as you are today and empowering you to move in the direction you feel called.
I hope to hear from you!

What folks are saying about working with Mary:
I've found my yoga work with Mary to be exceedingly accessible, always calming and centering, but also backed by real, in-depth knowledge about how bodies work and how to work with my particular body to grow strength, range of motion, and flexibility.
Mary is amazing! She has a calm yet fiery way of holding space for each client; she gently helps each client connect with God in their own way.
Working with Mary has been nothing short of a sacred gift. Her sensitivity to the needs and feelings of others allows her to listen with her ears as well as her heart. This ability informs all of her work and, combined with her knowledge of the human body, gives her a unique and beautiful niche in the world of yoga.
Mary led my mother, sister and I through a very special yoga practice where we could all connect with each other and our own very different bodies (40s, 60s and 30s post-partum). I’m grateful for this Mother’s Day gift, over zoom, during the pandemic where we were separated on two continents.
Mary has a very calming presence in her yoga instruction and does a beautiful job of combining yoga and spiritual practice. I highly recommend her!
Calming, soothing, compassionate, mindfully in tune, quietly present, open and excepting; this was my experience when I turned to Mary for a mental, spiritual and emotional ‘intermission’ while dealing with a crisis. Though the interactions were brief, the effect wasn’t.
Mary invites you into a way of opening physically, mentally and spiritually at your own comfort and pace - which allows you to more deeply know yourself and those around you.
Mary's skill and passion for embodiment practices shines through as she collaboratively works and listens with deep attention to you.
